About Our Logo
The Guilford Flag was designed after the battle of Guilford Courthouse, North Carolina on March 15, 1781. The flag incorporated the same colors as other Continental flags, red, white and blue, but with a different design. The flag had red and blue stripes instead of red and white and only twelve in number. There were thirteen, eight-pointed stars on a white packground probably to represent the 13 colonies. It is said to have been designed to make a statement to Great Britain. It was raised over the Guilford Courthouse after the bloody victory over the British.
